An Induction Theorem and Nonlinear Regularity

چکیده
A general nonlinear regularity model for a set-valued mapping F : X × R+ ⇒ Y , where X and Y are metric spaces, is studied using special iteration procedures, going back to Banach, Schauder, Lyusternik and Graves. Namely, we revise the induction theorem from Khanh, J. Math. Anal. Appl., 118 (1986) and employ it to obtain basic estimates for exploring regularity/openness properties. We also show that it can serve as a substitution of the Ekeland variational principle when establishing other regularity criteria. Then, we apply the induction theorem and the mentioned estimates to establish criteria for both global and local versions of regularity/openness properties for our model and demonstrate how the definitions and criteria translate into the conventional setting of a set-valued mapping F : X ⇒ Y . An application to second-order necessary optimality conditions for a nonsmooth set-valued optimization problem with mixed constraints is provided.

Non-regularity of multiplications for general measure algebras
Let $fM(X)$ be the space of all finite regular Borel measures on $X$. A general measure algebra is a subspace of$fM(X)$,which is an $L$-space and has a multiplication preserving the probability measures. Let $cLsubseteqfM(X)$ be a general measure algebra on a locallycompact space $X$. In this paper, we investigate the relation between Arensregularity of $cL$ and the topology of $X$. We find...
متن کاملA Remark on Nonlinear Dirac Equations
For a n-dimensional spin manifold M with a fixed spin structure and a spinor bundle ΣM , we prove an -regularity theorem for weak solutions to the nonlinear Dirac equation of cubic nonlinearity. This, in particular, answers a regularity question raised by Chen-Jost-Wang [5] when n = 2.

In this brief note, using the technique of measures of noncompactness, we give some extensions of Darbo fixed point theorem. Also we prove an existence result for a quadratic integral equation of Hammerstein type on an unbounded interval in two variables which includes several classes of nonlinear integral equations of Hammerstein type. Furthermore, an example is presented to show the effic...
متن کاملRandom differential inequalities and comparison principles for nonlinear hybrid random differential equations
In this paper, some basic results concerning strict, nonstrict inequalities, local existence theorem and differential inequalities have been proved for an IVP of first order hybrid random differential equations with the linear perturbation of second type. A comparison theorem is proved and applied to prove the uniqueness of random solution for the considered perturbed random differential eq...
متن کاملThe Evans-Krylov theorem for nonlocal fully nonlinear equations
We prove a regularity result for solutions of a purely integro-differential Bellman equation. This regularity is enough for the solutions to be understood in the classical sense. If we let the order of the equation approach two, we recover the theorem of Evans and Krylov about the regularity of solutions to concave uniformly elliptic partial differential equations.
